In 2000, Shari’s brother Rob challenged her to develop an alcoholic drink including root beer. At the previous Christmas, she’d ended up winning a bottle of Cask & Cream, a brandy and cream liquor that she wasn’t quite sure how to use. Combining it with root beer made something that tasted just like a root beer float, and it became the Cabin Weekend signature drink.
Alas, Cask & Cream was discontinued several years ago, but there are other nice options.
Ingredients:
- root beer
- cream liqueur, preferably vanilla flavored (I really like Tippy Cow Vanilla Soft Serve rum)
Directions:
Slowly add one can or 12 ounces of root beer to one shot of liqueur. It will foam up impressively. Add ice if desired. Enjoy.
